Challenges for the Knowledge Society is to become a forum of new ideas and approaches able to challenge and to change the management and marketing of the old society. That means to skim the intellectual cream off its field, feeding both thinkers and doers with valuable new insights from theory and practice, stimulating debates and intriguing innovative approaches. Our students are engaged in a wide range of academic pursuits that include degree programs in 160 undergraduate and graduate fields delivered by 6 different colleges. Students in the Management-Marketing concentration also have the option to gain from elective internship opportunities.
Brand equity measurement systems are explored, including brand audits and tracking studies that use qualitative and quantitative brand research techniques. Students will construct a brand architecture strategy by identifying brand extension opportunities to develop an appropriate branding strategy in a global marketplace.
Reputation-management strategies and crisis management techniques are also taught to assist in preserving and protecting an organization’s brand equity. Students are able to take three or six credit hours of internships as part of their curriculum. These internship placements provide the students with key skills that set them apart in the marketplace. Prior to starting their first internship course, they are required to design a professional resume, conduct a mock interview with our Career Department, and develop a set of objectives they hope to reach while in their site placements.
